League Scramble
(Scheduled for August 29):
The
League Scramble is scheduled for August 29th. Teams will play together, and teams will be
handicapped using tournament handicapping for scrambles. Players will tee off and select best drive,
then each player will finish their own ball.
At least one drive must be used by each player. Two lowest scores will be posted on each hole. Team captains please let the secretary know
your preference on early or late tee times and if you will be having any subs. Tee times will begin on the front nine at
2:45 and run through 4:42.
Just a reminder that the Year End Scramble is a pre-paid night. All league
members have already paid their greens fees for this night. As such, Treasurer Chuck Reckers will be
paying California Golf Course 64 greens fees for that night.
1) For the semi-finalists, the League will pay your semi-final (front 9)
greens fees. You will pay California the marginal fee for the extra nine holes
and cart fee, if applicable. Ultimately,
you will be playing 18 holes on August 29, either as a finalist on the back
nine or a scrambler on the front nine. (Note: the 9-hole gift certificate can be used
for the extra 9 holes.)
2) For the other 12 league teams, your greens fees for the scramble have
been paid to the League already. All you
need to do is pay the course for cart fee, if applicable.
3) Skins, greenies, and long putt contests will be on a Team basis ($20.00). Sign-up sheet will be in the briefcase.
Semi-Finals/Finals:
The
Semi-Finals/Finals are scheduled for August 29.
Semi-Final Tee times are set for the front nine at 12:03, 12:12, 12:21,
12:30. Finals are set for the back nine
at 2:54 and 3:03.

Division
Standings:
Division A: Defending League Champs Team Bramlage pulls off a good win to take the lead away from Team Anderson by 2.5 points. Team Anderson drops to second and out of play-off contention. Team Kientz wins over Team Leirey and puts Team Leirey in position to be Team 16 next year.
Division B: Team Slye with a big win over Team Vaughn
takes the lead and #3 Seed. Team Vaughn falls
short of seeding by 11 points. Team
Kiffmeyer with a big win sends Team Harms to 15th place in the
league.
Division C: Team Halpin (brought in the Marines) gets a
big win and takes 1st place and the #1 Seed away from Team Flynn. Team Flynn comes in as the #5 Seed by 8.5
points. Team Schumacher with a win remained
in 3rd, while Team Pfeiffer comes in 14th place in the
league.
Division D: Team Breen with a win maintained the #2 Seed
position. Team Patmann dropped to the #6
Seed position with just 11 points to spare.
Team Buescher with a big win couldn’t catch the leaders and Team Freeman
falls way short.

Secretary
Predictions/Results:
A Division: Secretary predicts Team Bramlage barely
winning over Team Anderson. Team Kientz
gets a massive win over Team Leirey.
Team Kientz wins the Division and Team Anderson, Team Bramlage, and Team
Leirey play in the Scramble.
-
Secretary
was wrong on this as Team Bramlage takes the Division A title as they get a big
win and Team Kientz got a small win and missed out on Seeding.
B Division: Secretary predicts Team Slye win big over
Team Vaughn and takes back 1st place. Team Vaughn, Team Kiffmeyer, and Team Harms
play in the Scramble.
-
Secretary
got this right as Team Slye takes a big win.
C Division: Secretary predicts Team Halpin taking a big
win over Team Flynn and moves into 1st, Team Flynn moves to second and
a wild card spot. Team Schumacher and
Team Pfeiffer split and play in the Scramble.
-
Secretary
got this right as Team Halpin wins big and Team Flynn drops to the #5 Seed.
D Division: Secretary predicts Team Breen bringing in a
big win to keep their position as Team Patmann falls to 3rd as Team
Freeman gets a massive win over Team Buescher and Team Freeman makes a wild
card spot. Team Patmann and Team
Buescher play in the Scramble.
-
Secretary
got part of this right as Team Breen keeps their lead and #2 Seed
position. Got it wrong on Team Freeman as
they took a big loss to Team Buescher and lost any hope of seeding.
