League Scramble:

League Scramble is scheduled for August 30 (this is a prepaid week).  Format this year will be same as last year, 2 player scramble.   Players will be divided up into A, B, C, and D.  A & D would hit their drives then play their best ball, B & C player would hit their drives then play their best ball, two scores (A&D low score and B&C low score) would be posted for each hole.

Team tee times will be out after completion of Wild Card Playoffs.

If any regular cannot make the Scramble and wants a sub, let us know who the sub is so we can put the sub on a team.  Scramble tee times start at 2:45 then every 9 minutes through 4:42.

 Outing Info:

Treasurer Chuck Reckers is taking Outing payments (checks will not be cashed until September 9).  Chuck sends his thanks to those who have paid.  Pouches will be in the briefcase again on August 30.  Chuck would like to have all the payments in by August 30.

Heard in the Clubhouse:

Mr. Fredrickson putting his 2 cents worth in on running for League Treasurer under the platform of performing treasurer duties for free.  (my thoughts here is Mr. Reckers would probably not object to giving his duties to Mr. Freddie.)  Maybe Mr. Freddie could run for Secretary too.

No assassination attempt on the League President this week.  He was still alive and moving in the clubhouse this week.

No skunk spotted this week, but I did avoid the tall grass on #16.  It did smell like Mr. Skunk was still in the tall grass (was that your Mary Jo).

Last year there was mention of the Bookies picking the winner of the Championship Trophy.  Haven’t heard anything this year.  Could it be that this year the teams are too close to call, but my thoughts would be red hot Team Harms could run-a-way with it this year.

Skins—Greenies—Long Putt

Most of the regulars and subs in the league know about Skins, Greenies, and Long Putt. For those that do not, each week there will be a sheet and a box on one of the tables in the clubhouse.  The sheet will have the names of all the regulars and blank lines at the bottom for subs to write in their names. $3.00 entry fee for Skins; $1.00 entry fee for Greenies and $1.00 entry fee for Long Putt.  Place a check mark for each category for which you are participating.  If the Briefcase is not out notate on your scorecard your intent to play and pay when you complete your match.  First teams out please take the markers, last teams in please bring markers in.

I just can’t believe it that Mr. Zachritz was hoping his name would not be in hear.  Well, I guess this will be the last regular newsletter of the year and why should I stop mentioning him now.  Anyway he still does a wonderful job of taking complaints and not finding solutions.  Job well done Mr. Z.  Now in contention for Mr. Zachritz Complaint Committee is Mr. Eric Fredrickson, who has a better handle on complaints.  We just need to see where this goes.  Happy end of regular season.  See you at the Scramble and Outing.  ----------------------?????__________________-As always, this paragraph may or mostly does have or may not have many or sometimes no errors, or more errors than you can count.   Read at your own risk, especially this line as some have suffered severe eye strain… or loss of motion from falling over laughing…or severe shock…or severe confusion.  P.S. Does anybody read this besides Mr. Z.________________________-
