Sub Eligibility for Play-Offs: Teams with a hope of playing in the Wild-Card Play-Offs, Semi-Finals, and Finals there is currently only one open sub qualified to play according to League Rules Article XIX. “To be able to play for any team in the play-offs, a sub must have played 3 official rounds on both the front nine and the back nine during the current season. Restricted subs are always allowed to play in the play-offs. Play-Off teams are limited to only one sub during play-off games. Teams with a restricted sub can still use another sub.” Website listing for Sub Record list eligible subs as of August 14.
Position Round 3: Front nine 1st off is C Division followed by A Division; back nine 1st off is D Division followed by B Division. Exact tee times are listed on website newsletter tab 8/21/24.
This week Team Bramlage played vs the vacant team (#12) and pulled out a big win. Next week being position round, Team Ellsworth (3rd place) will compare scores with second place team (Team Bramlage).
Heard Around, Happened Around, or Just Plain Made Up Info from Around the Clubhouse: The League secretary disavows any knowledge of erroneous or false information in this section of the newsletter. With the noise in the clubhouse and my hearing deficiency who knows for sure what is being said. If there is something you wish to complain about see the gripe committee head: Mr. Bill Zachritz. He will take any issues to the men’s room where he will discuss it with the Man-in-the-Mirror. Please do not anticipate any resolution soon or in the future.
- Mike Breen shooting par 35 best score he ever had at California Golf Course.
- Then Dennis Breen having his personal best round ever of 42.
- Something about one team shooting into the team playing in front hitting their cart.
- Something about Jerry Fierro hitting the top edge of the golf cart. One inch up or down his ball would have gone over or through the cart.
The subs playing this week: Dave Martin (r) (Team Flynn), Ken Kostas (r), Scott Dorstin (Team Bill Anderson), Tom Nonno (Team Ellsworth), and Joe Bramlage (r).
