IRS Golf League Newsletter – August 14, 2013
Congratulations to the 4 Division Winners and 2 Wild Card Teams!!!

The two quarter-final matches will be Team Kientz (#3 Seed) -vs- Team Flynn (#6 Seed) and Team Donlin (#4 Seed) -vs- Team Breen (#5 Seed). Upon completion of these matches please submit the results to League Secretary Charles Halpin. Current tee times are scheduled for Team Donlin vs Team Breen on Monday, August 19th at 2 p.m. and Team Kientz vs Team Flynn on Wednesday, August 21st at 12 p.m. Results will be posted on the web to the August 16th Weekly News.
Texas Scramble is scheduled for August
21. Tee times are listed on the August
21 Weekly News. The free golf passes
cannot be used for the scramble, and payment of $15.50 will be due to Chuck
Reckers (checks payable to IRS Golf League), not to the course.
Outing:
Team Anderson has most of the planning completed
for the Outing. The date is Friday, September
6, with a shotgun start at 10 a.m. Power carts will be included in the cost of
the outing, as well as sandwiches at the turn and beverages on the course.
Catering will be provided with the usual menu or equivalent. Games and events for the outing will be
announced at a later time.
Below is the cost for the IRS Golf League fall outing on
September 6 at A.J. Jolly:

Golf & dinner - $75
Drinks on the course and at the clubhouse are
included, as well as 2 sandwiches per person at the turn.
There are 63 regulars who have credit
balances that will impact the amount they owe. In addition, Chuck Reckers will
gladly accept payments from the regulars/subs in August. Payments can be put in the league briefcase. This will keep the line to a minimum at A.J.
Jolly.
There
will be money games for those that want to participate in them:
- Skins $5
- Closest to the pin $3 (all three par-3
holes)
- Long putt $2 (on two holes)
If you want to participate in all games, its
$10 total. You can pick and choose which ones you want to participate in. If
paying ahead of time and are not in all of them, include a note as to which
games you want in on. The only other
money collected during the outing will be for split the pot. Tickets will be
available for purchase that day - $1 each or 6 for $5. Whatever monies are collected from ticket
sales will be split between the winning number drawn and the league. Must be present to win. Additional games and of course door prizes
will be included in the outing at no additional charge. These will be communicated to the participants
at the course that day.
