IRS Wednesday Golf
League Newsletter
Week
15 – August 5, 2020
My
thanks go out to Team Flynn and Team Pfeiffer for last minute adjusting their
team line up/tee-time to accommodate their opposing teams. That was very much appreciated by all.
Treasurer
Chuck Reckers reports that there are 7 regulars outstanding on dues/green fees/carts.
For those that still owe please mail check
to Chuck, his home address is 5641 Glen Oak, Mason Ohio 45040, or bring to
the course next Wednesday. Thanks to all
those who are paid up.
League
Outing:
Scheduled
for September 11, A.J. Jolly Golf Course.
This
year due to social distancing AJ Jolly Golf Course will give us tee times tentatively
starting at 7 a.m.
Golf,
Cart, Goodie bag, Lunch, and Beverages will be $67.
Dinner
- $15 (Dinner plans could change as numbers are low on those wanting to have
dinner.) Plans are to have skin games
and greenies (no long putt): Skins - $5 and Greenies - $3 (greenies will be hit
the green and notate it on scorecard and name will be drawn for the winner).
No
other on course games.
Flight
winners, Skins, and Greenie winners will be paid by check in the mail.
More
information will be sent out in a follow-up e-mail after we have a good count.
Every
week I will post this about carts and fees.
Green
fees and cart fees are still being paid by the League Treasurer Chuck Reckers. For those okay with riding 2 in a cart with
teammates that is now acceptable and preferred.
For those who said they will walk
but wish to change to walk front and ride back or ride both sides, you need to let
the League Treasurer Chuck Reckers know by Tuesdays 6 p.m. so he can update his
records and notify the course on number of carts we will need. Also, if you are having a sub that is
different on walk or ride you need to let Chuck know about that. If a player wants to commit to ride the back
or both sides Chuck will update his records and collect the cart fees as part
of the second installment in late July. Reminder
that no changing your mind at the course.

Standings:
A Division: Close race here for the lead as Team Schumacher
(now #4 Seed) takes over the lead with Team Bramlage moving down to 2nd
place (24 points out of the lead and dropping to #6 Seed). Team Anderson moved into 3rd place (25.5
points out of the lead and 1.5 points out of seeding). Defending
League Champs Team Kiffmeyer dropped to 4th place and is 74.5 points
out of the lead (50.5 points out of seeding).

Team Flynn held onto 1st place and moved up to the #1 Seed. Team Halpin still holds 2nd place
and 44.0 points out of 1st (10.5
points out of seeding) . Team Buescher remains in 3rd and
Team Leirey in 4th. Note: Point
spread here increased to 157.5 points separating 1st to 4th.
C Division:
Team Kientz maintained their 1st
place position but dropped to #3 Seed. Team
Breen is in 2nd (43.5 points out of lead and 13.5 out of
seeding). Team Zachritz in 3rd and Team Harms
brings in 4th and maintains the top of the upside down points list. Note: Point spread here increased to 188.5 separating 1st to 4th.

Team Bachmann remains in 1st place and moved up to #2 Seed. Team Pfeiffer holds 2nd place,
moved into #5 Seed and is now only 10.0 points out of 1st. Team Vaughn brings in 3rd and 79
points out. Team Sue&Sherrill comes
in 4th and now are 147.5 points out.
Seeding:
No points runaway
this year and with only 3 weeks left (270 points available) before playoffs I
expect this list to change a lot. Current

Number 2
Seed – Team Bachmann
Number 3 Seed
– Team Kientz
Number 4
Seed – Team Schumacher
Number 5

teams are on the griddle and could get Forked next week. Warning to Team Kiffmeyer, Team Vaughn, and
Team Zachritz – will the Fork find you next week.
Week

Week
14 – Team Harms
Week
15 – Team Sue&Sherrill & Team Buescher
Thoughts to Ponder for the Weak:
This comes from Mr. Tim Feldman:
(1) I have SexDaily ..... I mean
Dyslexia.
(2) Never laugh at your wife's choices,
since you are one of them.
(3) After Monday and Tuesday,
even the calendar says "W.T.F.".
(4) My body is a Temple -
Ancient and crumbling.
(5) I would like to start a new
tradition at my funeral. Take the bouquet off of the coffin and toss it into
the crowd of attendees to see who will be next.
(6) Some people start coughing
and worry that they might have the Corona Virus. I merely hope that I don't wet
my pants.
