IRS Wednesday Golf
League Newsletter
Week
13 – July 19, 2023
Team Vaughn is
still unstoppable, and they are now at thirteen straight wins (I think this is
a League record). With 5 weeks left
their opponents remaining are Team Broadus, Team Brian Anderson, Team Snowden, Vacant
Team, then position round. Bob Norris
will give the team that beats Team Vaughn two dozen experienced golf balls, and
the League Secretary thoughts are Bob Norris will still be trying to give those
balls away next year.
Reminder to be
on the tee box ahead of tee time and be ready to play. We had an incident where a team was waiting
on their players and the teams were delaying the tee time past set time. This is unacceptable as this delays our
league and the leagues after us. If players
are not on the tee box at tee time, play must start without that player. According to our League Rules the absent/tardy
player can catch up on the course but forfeits individual medal and 4 team
medal points. Best to arrive at the
course early and be ready to play at your tee time.
SEEDING:
A
Division has Team Broadus
moving up to 1st place and #4 Seed.
Team Kientz moved up to 2nd place as Team Crouch dropped to 3rd. Team Zachritz (Forked) finally getting a win remained
in 4th and will remain there the rest of the season. Mr. Bill
thanks for the beer, I posted you with a win.
B
Division has Team Flynn remaining
in the lead and is #2 Seed. Team Harms comes
in 2nd and #5 Seed with Team Buescher in 3rd and #6 Seed. Team Halpin brings in 4th and is Forked
(I cant believe I did that
to my team).
C
Division had no changes
to positions as Team Bachmann remains in the lead and #3 Seed, followed by Team
Bramlage in 2nd and Team Kiffmeyer in 3rd. Team Bill Anderson comes in 4th
and is finished (Forked) for the season.
D
Division has the unbeatable
Team Vaughn in the lead and #1 Seed. Team
Brian Anderson in 2nd, and Team Snowden (Forked) in 3rd place.
Seeding summary:
#1 Seed – Team Vaughn
#2 Seed – Team Flynn
#3 Seed – Team Bachmann
#4 Seed – Team Broadus
#5 Seed – Team Harms
#6 Seed – Team Buescher
Continuing reminder on the schedule containing two tee times for
the teams versus the Vacant team. All
tee times following Team 12 on the regular schedule will be moved up one time
earlier. This will be posted on the website
each week on the newsletter tab for the following week and will also be sent
via e-mail.
