IRS Golf League Newsletter – July 17, 2013
Another rain out was declared this week.
Not all teams finished the required 6 holes and with all the rain the
course became unplayable. It seems like
we can’t get over the bad weather. All
those who were in the skins/greenies/long putt a credit will apply for next
time out. There will be no make-up on
this week’s matches since the next position round is the final position round.
There was one group that had completed nine holes, that was Team Donlin vs.
Team Breen. I had to mention this since
Matt Donlin had an eagle on number 3 and birdie on number 4, and shot a 38, 8
under his average, all for naught. Nice
round and hopefully Matt can repeat that next week.
Hopefully everyone has dried out by now.
When I opened the briefcase Thursday morning things were still damp
inside. I had to lay out all my clubs to
dry them out too. Let’s hope the rest of
the season will be dry with reasonable temperatures.

Skins—Greenies—Long Putt
Most of the regulars and subs in the
league know about Skins, Greenies, and Long Putt. For
those that do not, each week there will be a sheet and a box on one of the
tables in the clubhouse.
The
sheet will have the names of all the regulars and blank lines at the bottom for
subs to write in their names.
$3.00 entry fee for Skins; $1.00 entry fee for Greenies and
$1.00 entry fee for Long Putt. Place
a check mark for each category for which you are participating.
