Division Standings:
A Division had no changes in positions but
with Team Bachmann (#6 Seed) and Team Breen starting to catch Division Leader
Team Bramlage (#1 Seed). Team Halpin
lost more ground but the free beer was good.
Division B has Team Flynn (#2 Seed) barely
holding the lead as Team Schumacher (#5 Seed) moving within 1.5 points from the
lead. Team Vaughn for a second week is starting
to come alive and make a run for the top. Team Patmann brings in 2nd from the
top of the upside down list and needs to volunteer to help Col. Schu with the
Scramble.
Division C has Team Buescher (#3 seed) losing
ground as Team Kientz moved into 2nd place and only 4.5 points
out. Team Anderson (the shirts) dropped
to 3rd but only 13 points out of 1st. Team Freeman brings
in 4th but only 82 points separate them from 1st place.
Division D remains unchanged as Team
Kiffmeyer is still in the lead but losing ground to Team Harms and Team
Leirey. Team Pfeiffer remains in command
on top of the upside down leader list and only team still looking for a win.
Current seeding is:
#1 Seed – Team Bramlage (A Division)
#2 Seed – Team Flynn (B Division)
#3 Seed – Team Buescher (C Division)
#4 Seed – Team Kiffmeyer (D Division)

Results of Secretaries
Pick for Position Round:
A Division:
·
Secretary predicted Team Bramlage
taking a big loss to Defending Champs Team Bachmann (SLYE). Secretary got this one right.
·
Secretary predicted Team Halpin,
putting the hurt on Team Breen: Secretary got this wrong/right as Team Breen
agreed to buy the beer if they won. At
least Team Halpin had some free beer.
B Division:
·
Secretary picked Team Flynn vs Team
Schumacher to be a slug fest with Team Flynn barely defeating Team Schumacher.
Secretary got this one wrong as Team
Schumacher pulled in a good win.
·
Secretary picked Team Vaughn
destroying Team Patmann.
Secretary nailed this one on the head (easiest pick I had).
C Division:
·
Secretary picked Team Buescher vs
Team Anderson as another slug fest with Team Shirts barely winning. Secretary had the win correct just not a
close match.
·
Secretary picked Team Kientz vs
Team Freeman will probably have Team Kientz moving to the bottom of the
division.
Secretary missed this by a mile as Team Kientz pulled in a big win and
moved up to 2nd in the division
D Division:
·
Secretary picked Team Harms putting
a big hurt on Team Kiffmeyer. Secretary got this right as Team Harms is now
closing in on Division lead.
·
Secretary picked the Team Leirey vs
Team Pfeiffer match as Team Pfeiffer bringing in a win.
Secretary was way off on this as Team
Leirey gave Team Pfeiffer their 11th loss.
Secretary only
received one response to request for anyone able to pick all the winners to get
special mention in the newsletter and a string of experienced golf balls. Winner was Mike Breen as he out picked
the Secretary. Mike was able to pick 6
out of the 8 matches and wins a string of well experienced golf balls.
Missed Shot of the Day:
Col. Tom Schumacher shooting one under par
even after missing 2 other birdie putts.
Question of the Weak:
Question: What is more important: A win at golf or free beer?
Answer: To Team Halpin free beer is more
important. Thanks to Team Breen for helping
answer this question.

Can’t leave this alone but: Something about a Par 3 hole and
hitting into the woods, reteeing, get on the green and 2 putt as being a par. My count is hit into woods as 1, retee as 2,
hit green is 3, two putts is 5. Maybe I
didn’t hear it clearly.
Upcoming reminders:
·
There
will be a Farewell Open House for all
past IRS employees to walk the halls of the IRS 4th St Center
one last time on August 8 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
·
