IRS Golf League Newsletter – July 10, 2013

Luckily we were all able to get our rounds in this past week.  From the way the weather looked I thought it would be a wash out, but it was good we waited.  I do want to apologize for the confusion on starting, but there was a league after us and the course could not let us do a shotgun start.

Dick Flynn wasn’t as lucky with the weather.  He was called away before we started due to flooding in his house.  Hope everything is okay.

Jake Jobe-Rivera took a pretty good rap on the head from a wayward ball.  He was in #3 fairway and the ball was hit from #2 tee.  Luckily Jake was able to complete the round but still had a good size knot on his head.  Hope you are okay.

There are still a few players that owe the remaining dues/green fees.  Captains of Team Breen, Team Bramlage, and Team Freeman please remind your team mates that still owe to please bring their payment to the next play.  Those who still owe: the final payment is $124.

The fork was given a rest this week, although it was still being twisted in some teams.  There was a question from Mr. Feldman about rusty forks and who covers the tetanus shots.  Sorry Mr. Feldman, best thing is not to get forked.

Summary of the Forked:

May:  Team Schumacher.

June:  Team Harms.

July:  Team Bunkelman, Team Leirey, Team Kientz.

Skins—Greenies—Long Putt

Most of the regulars and subs in the league know about Skins, Greenies, and Long Putt. For those that do not, each week there will be a sheet and a box on one of the tables in the clubhouse.  The sheet will have the names of all the regulars and blank lines at the bottom for subs to write in their names. $3.00 entry fee for Skins; $1.00 entry fee for Greenies and $1.00 entry fee for Long Putt.  Place a check mark for each category for which you are participating.
