IRS Wednesday Golf
League Newsletter
Week
11 – July 3, 2024
Latest news on Dale Schaber, he is doing
well after his triple bypass surgery and is up and walking. Here is hoping for
his speedy recovery.
Welcome new player Ben Pugh who will be
playing in Dale Schaber’s place.
The subs playing this week: Tom Schumacher (Team Brian Anderson), Farlon Smith
and Rafael Gonzalez (Team Buescher), Bob Norris (Team Bill Anderson), Dave
Martin (Team Flynn), Jef Barnhorst and Steve Murphy (Team Crouch).
This week Team Bachmann played vs the
vacant team. They pulled Team 12 and did
well. Next week position round Team
Ellsworth will compare scores vs 2nd place team in Division D.
Still happening: League Secretary is still
finding errors on the score/recap sheets.
Most errors are not calculating the correct handicap strokes and giving
strokes on the wrong holes.
Treasurer Chuck Reckers reports that there
are still 4 regulars outstanding on second half of season dues/green fees. Make checks payable to “IRS Golf League.”

Status of the
Almighty Fork:
Warning: The ‘Fork’ is sharpened and ready for next
week. Position round will decide which
teams will be Forked. Could it be Team
Halpin/Scott or Team Ellsworth or Team Brian Anderson or Team Crouch or Team
Bill Anderson? Things don’t look good
for Team Halpin/Scott as they are on top of the upside down points list.

______________________
Mr. Bill, My gripe this week in fine print is the folks who leave
their trash and empty beer cans on the table and are unable to clean up after
themselves. Wouldn’t be a gripe if they
left a reasonable tip for the staff or me (tight asses). Good note on this is I don’t have to live
with those greedy pigs.
