League Newsletter
Week
11 – July 8, 2020
League Secretary
wishes to thank everyone for verifying and turning in/texting in the scorecards
quickly this past week. As always I am
willing and appreciate receiving more than one card for players as this helps
with verifying if any errors are found when I do the automated recap sheets.
Team 12 formerly
Team BehrensKerrickNonnoSwann has a name change.
Team 12 will now be named Team Sue&Sherrill with Co-Team Captains Sue
Kerrick and Sherrill Swann.
League
Treasurer Chuck Reckers will be holding a Zoom Captains Meeting on July 23 at 7
p.m. Items on the agenda will be remaining
league fees, league scramble, and Outing plans.
Chuck will get Zoom information out to the Team Captains.
Every
week I will post this about carts and fees.
Green
fees and cart fees are still being paid by the League Treasurer Chuck Reckers. For those okay with riding 2 in a cart with
teammates that is now acceptable and preferred.
For those who said they will walk
but wish to change to walk front and ride back or ride both sides, you need to let
the League Treasurer Chuck Reckers know by Tuesdays 6 p.m. so he can update his
records and notify the course on number of carts we will need. Also, if you are having a sub that is
different on walk or ride you need to let Chuck know about that. If a player wants to commit to ride the back
or both sides Chuck will update his records and collect the cart fees as part
of the second installment in mid to late July.
Reminder that no changing your mind at the course.
Subs this past
week: Mike Schwarberg (Team Kientz), Jeff
Barnhorst (Team Breen), Greg Arkle (Team Harms), Boyd Marley (Team Leirey), and
Carol Goldstone (Team Sue&Sherrill).
Thanks for being there.

Standings:
A Division:
Team Bramlage still has the lead and leads the league in points. Team Schumacher comes in second and only 15.5
points back. Team Anderson moved up to 3rd
as Team Kiffmeyer drops to 4th. Note: Point
spread is now 61.5 points separating 1st from 4th.
Division
B: No change here as Team Flynn remains in 1st with Team Halpin
only 15 points back. Team Buescher in 3rd
and Team Leirey in 4th and still holding the top of the upside down
list. Note: Point spread here is now 129 points separating
1st to 4th.
Division
C: Big change here as Team Kientz takes over 1st with Team Breen
falling to 2nd and 27.5 points out.
Team Zachritz remains 3rd and Team Harms brings in 4th. Note: Point spread here dropped to 106.5 points
separating 1st to 4th.
Division D:
No changes in positions here as Team Bachmann remains in 1st but
dropped to 2nd in league points.
Team Vaughn comes in 2nd and only 9 points out of 1st. Team Pfeiffer in 3rd, and Team
BKNS in 4th. Note: Point spread here dropped to 102 points
separating 1st to 4th.
Seeding:
The season did
not end yesterday, but if it ends tomorrow Seeding would look like this:
Number 1
Seed – Team Bramlage
Number 2
Seed – Team Bachmann
Number 3 Seed
– Team Flynn
Number 4 Seed
– Team Kientz
Number 5 Seed
– Team Schumacher
Number 6
Seed – Team Vaughn
Team Breen
got knocked off seeding as Team Vaughn moved into 6th Seed. I expect more changes to happen.
Heard in/out or near the Clubhouse:
There was
something an informant mentioned about a flagstick being viciously attacked. Seems the flagstick didn’t
see it coming but remained standing after a long battle that lasted a short
time.
Then another
informant mentioned something about seeing a club “flying through the air” and not
attached to a person. I think word had
it that the club went further than the ball.
Something
about it was hotter than hell. I personally
wouldn’t know since I have never been there, and I don’t
think they have golf there either.
