IRS Wednesday Golf League Newsletter

Week 10 – June 28, 2023

My Hat off to all in the League for working hard on improving play time.  All teams were able to complete their rounds in under 2 hours 30 minutes.  Let’s keep up that pace of play.

Condolences to the Brian Anderson and family on the loss of Brian’s brother, Russell Anderson, on June 20th.

Second half season Dues/Green fees were due on June 28 for those who paid partial at beginning of the season.  For those who didn’t pay this past week, please bring payment on July 5th.  Second half payment is $196.00, make check payable to ‘IRS Golf League’ and pouches will be in the clubhouse.  Any questions on this should be directed to League Treasurer Chuck Reckers.

Team Vaughn is still on a winning streak and are now 10 wins no losses.  Next week they play versus the underachieving defending League Champs Team Zachritz.  This will be the match to watch.

Continuing Reminder on the schedule containing two tee times for the teams versus the Vacant team.  All tee times following Team 12 on the regular schedule will be moved up one time earlier.  This will be posted on the website each week on the newsletter tab for the following week and sent via e-mail.

Team Crouch played versus the Vacant Team 12 this week.  Team 4 was pulled out of the hat and Team Crouch did not fare well.  For those teams playing versus vacant Team 12 see League Secretary to pull a team number out of the hat.  Note: The 3 possibilities are Team 4, 8, or 16.

We are always looking for input into the newsletter.  Please use the recap sheet to add any unusual or funny occurrences, great feats, etc. that happen on the course.

It is always best to read the fine print on everything there is.

See the Team Average sheet for who is in what games.  Subs playing for someone in the games: payouts will have the regular and sub name on envelopes.  For winners, please collect your payouts either prior to or after the match each week.

Last Comment (fine print):  The Clubhouse is safe to enter after your matches, plenty of refreshments, jokes, laughter, BS, and you never know who is buying the drinks.

This past week I was graciously bribed by Mr. Bill Z.  The beer was fantastic, keep it flowing.  As for unforking your team, sorry but once totally overdone there is no unforking.  Please continue to bribe me each week.
