IRS Wednesday Golf
League Newsletter
Week
10 – July 1, 2020
Need to express
the importance on scorecards: Team captains must reconcile cards before leaving
the course and handed to, emailed, or text to League Secretary Charlie Halpin
as soon as finished (no later than day of play 9 p.m.). Best if as soon as finish round to verify your
cards and get them to the secretary before you leave the course. Again, scorecards can be handed to, emailed, or text to Charlie Halpin and it is
best to receive double cards from teams since any errors can be resolved
quicker. Again, Team Captains/Team Members
should verify scores before leaving the course and then get the scorecards to
Charlie Halpin as soon as possible so the recap sheets can be completed.
Every week I
will post this about carts and fees. Green
fees and cart fees are still being paid by the League Treasurer Chuck Reckers. For those okay with riding 2 in a cart with
teammates that is now acceptable and preferred.
For those who said they will walk
but wish to change to walk front and ride back or ride both sides, you need to let
the League Treasurer Chuck Reckers know by Tuesdays 6 p.m. so he can update his
records and notify the course on number of carts we will need. Also, if you are having a sub that is
different on walk or ride you need to let Chuck know about that. If a player wants to commit to ride the back
or both sides Chuck will update his records and collect the cart fees as part
of the second installment in mid to late July.
Reminder that no changing your mind at the course.
Subs this past
week: Steve Ruehl (Team Bramlage), Shari
Anderson (Team Harms), Mike Schwarberg (Team Kientz), and new sub Brian Taylor
(Team Buescher). Thanks for being there.

No changes as Team Bramlage holds the lead followed by Team Schumacher,
Team Kiffmeyer, and Team Anderson. Note: Only
41 points separate 1st from 4th.
Division
B: Team Flynn remains in 1st, and Team Halpin remains in 2nd. Team Buescher with their 1st win
moved into 3rd as Team Leirey falls to 4th (top of the
upside down list). Note: 97 points separate 1st to 4th.

3.5 points out. Team Zachritz remains 3rd and Team
Harms brings in 4th. Note:
111 points separate 1st to 4th.
Division D:
Team Bachmann holds the lead in division and league. Team Vaughn in 2nd with Team Pfeiffer
in 3rd, and Team BKNS in 4th. Note: 106 points
separate 1st to 4th.
Seeding:
The season didn’t end yesterday, but if it ends tomorrow Seeding would
look like this:
Number 1
Seed – Team Bachmann
Number 2
Seed – Team Bramlage
Number 3 Seed
– Team Breen
Number 4 Seed
– Team Flynn
Number 5
Seed – Team Schumacher
Number 6
Seed – Team Kientz
Note that
posting this did bring bad luck to one team.
There still are 10 other teams that could make this list.
Thoughts to Ponder:
Yesterday I accidentally swallowed
some food coloring.
The doctor says I'm OK, but I feel
like I've dyed a little inside.
I wondered why the baseball was
getting bigger. Then it hit me.
Have you ever tried to eat a
clock? It's very time consuming.
Did you hear about the guy who got
hit in the head with a can of soda?
He was lucky it was a soft drink.
What did the grape say when it got
stepped on? Nothing - but it let out a little whine.
Something about subtraction just
doesn't add up.
