IRS Wednesday Golf League Newsletter

Week 10 – June 26, 2019

Treasurer Chuck Reckers reports that there are 11 players remaining outstanding on league fees.  Chuck thanks all those who are paid up.  For those that still owe please bring next week.  Team pouches will be in the briefcase for payment.  Make checks payable to IRS Golf League.

Pat Breen has retired from regular league play.  Pat will be missed on the course and at the clubhouse.  Team Breen has picked up sub Vinny Consola to fill Pat’s regular position beginning July 3.

#6 Seed – Team Kientz (C Division)

Status of the Almighty Fork:

What did I say a few weeks ago about any team losing to Team Halpin?  Well for Team Harms they are now Forked after their loss to Team Halpin.  That pretty much dulled the Fork though, so it is now in shop to get sharpened, may take a couple of weeks.

Forked Week 7:  Team Leirey and Team Pfeiffer.       Forked Week 8:  Team Anderson.

Forked Week 9:  Team Patmann.                              Forked Week 10:  Team Harms

Heard in the Clubhouse:

League President talking politics in the clubhouse, sorry no political stuff in the newsletter.

Then there was a conversation about a club throwing competition and how many (3) could be thrown in less than 3 holes or 2 holes.  Which went further the ball or the club?

Also, a conservation about a Mulligan during league play, something wrong with this or I did not hear it clearly or was it something about taking an extra stroke.  (note to self:  hold this until next week to get clarification from WZ.)

Shot of the Day:

Kirt Mowery (new sub) drives #18 green and 2 putts for Birdie.

Lesson of the Day:

Don’t upset a Marine, they will kick butt.
