IRS Wednesday Golf League Newsletter

Week 8 – June 6, 2018

Another week of a lot of Birdies’ (10 on the front and 9 on the back).  Congratulations to Tom Schumacher shooting 2 under par 33.

Subs this week were:  Mary Jo Leirey and Jim Conrady (Team Leirey), Mike Schwarberg (Team Kientz), Kelly Johnson (Team Schumacher), Carol Goldstone (Team Buescher) and Dan Varndell (Team Vaughn).  Thanks for being there.

Team Vaughn owes Team Breen some big thanks.  Mike Breen noticed that the team medal went on Team Breen when it should have been on Team Vaughn.  Win goes to Team Vaughn.  Thank you Mike Breen for catching this.

Division Standings:

Division A has Team Anderson still in the lead with Team Bramlage starting to catch up.  Team Kientz falls to 3rd and Team Leirey brings in second last to bottom of the league.  (1st to 4th now separated by 94.5 points.)

Division B has Team Kiffmeyer taking the lead, 10 points better than Team Slye.  Followed by Team Harms and Team Vaughn.  (now only 58.5 points separate 1st to 4th.)

Division C has Team Schumacher still in the lead and holding to the top of the league points list.  Team Flynn moved up to 2nd with Team Halpin falling to 3rd.  Team Pfeiffer again this week brought in a big win and avoided the Fork for another week.  (now only 174.5 points separate 1st to 4th.)

Division D has Team Freeman firmly holding the lead, with Team Buescher moving up to 2nd and Team Breen falling to 3rd.  (now 86 points separate 1st to 4th.)

Skins—Greenies—Long Putt

Most of the regulars and subs in the league know about Skins, Greenies, and Long Putt. For those that do not, each week there will be a sheet and a box on one of the tables in the clubhouse.  The sheet will have the names of all the regulars and blank lines at the bottom for subs to write in their names. $3.00 entry fee for Skins; $1.00 entry fee for Greenies and $1.00 entry fee for Long Putt.  Place a check mark or X for each category for which you are participating.  If the Briefcase is not out, notate on your scorecard your intent to play and pay when you complete your match.  First teams out please take the markers, last teams in please bring markers in.

Fine Print:  Lack of information for this section.  The complaint committee is suffering from lack of complaints.  Mr. Z should come up with more input for himself.  Dang, that sounds like a complaint,  Mr. Z. take care of that.  Rumor has it that someone wants to run separate skins for men white tees, men forward tees, and women.  Not sure who wants to track all that and if that is for regular season or just the outing.  Again, Mr. Bill take care of that.  Can’t find out who but when putting on #18, nothing is given, Thank You for not conceiting.
