Welcome back to Mike Donlin. Your
return seems to have perked up your team.
Glad to see you playing again.
This past week there were quite a few birdies and some really good scores
too. Which leads me to Team Schumacher,
as it looks like they may be trying to come alive (so we won’t twist the fork
too much this week), but the fork remains.
Team Schumacher was surpassed at the bottom by Team Harms (so Team Harms
is hereby forked). Now I hope Mr.
Fredrickson won’t feel lonely although he has put a little life back into the
Team Schumacher mascot. Team Keintz you are on thin ice and could be next for the fork.
Team Freeman is still in the lead in the league. They continued with another win this week and
are the 1st team to surpass 400 points (436.5). Jim Hill has been acting team captain while
John is out and will be giving us an update on how John is doing and when he
will be back.
Sitting around the clubhouse talking with Team Breen was quite an
experience this week. There were a lot
of ‘what did you say’ coming from them.
When I asked what all the ‘what’s’ were, I found out they were talking
about hearing aids. Maybe Team Breen
just has selective hearing. Every time
Mr. Breen said to Mr. Spaeth “can you hear," Mr. Spaeth would respond back
“yes I’ll have a beer.” Then Mr. Spaeth
would say to Mr. Breen “what time is it,” and Mr. Breen would say “I don’t like
lime in my beer.”
And the thoughts (words of wisdumb) from Mr.
Feldman this week were quite good. Wish
I could remember them or is it I don’t want to remember them. However, they must have been good coming from
Mr. Feldman. Oooops,
he sent them to me on e-Mail so here they are:
I've got to stop saying, "How stupid can you
be." Too many people are accepting the challenge.
My dream job is driving the Karma Bus.
I'm not saying we should exterminate all the dumb
people, I'm saying let's remove all the warning labels and let nature sort it
out.
It has been a long time since I took a chemistry class
but is seems to me that alcohol is a solution.
And lastly, I don’t feel like a castaway anymore now that Wilson is in
the briefcase.

Skins—Greenies—Long Putt
Most of the regulars and subs in the
league know about Skins, Greenies, and Long Putt. For
those that do not, each week there will be a sheet and a box on one of the
tables in the clubhouse.
The
sheet will have the names of all the regulars and blank lines at the bottom for
subs to write in their names.
$3.00 entry fee for Skins; $1.00 entry fee for Greenies and
$1.00 entry fee for Long Putt. Place
a check mark for each category for which you are participating.
