Week
4 – May 15, 2024
We got lucky with the weather for this
week. All day looked like we might get
rained on, but nothing happened. This
was the second week in a row that we were lucky with the weather.
Competition between A Division vs B Division,
and C Division vs D Division is completed.
B Division and D Division faired well on the points. Next up is A Division vs C Division and B
Division vs D Division.
Congratulations to everyone that completed
the recap sheets. Everything was perfect
on the recap sheets this week. Keep up
the good work.
The subs playing this week Carol Goldstone
and Phil Hurley (Team Zachritz), Don Bazsika (Team Bill Anderson), Frank Becker
(Team Vaughn), Rickie Floyd and Jeff Tom (Team Broadus).
Kevin Dyhouse has committed to being a
regular on Team 12 for the rest of the season.
We are still looking for 4 permanent
regulars to fill the open spots on Team 16 (they would be 2nd place
in D Division). Now is a good time to
fill the team.
This past week Team Kientz vs Team
16. They pulled Team 8 for scoring. Mr. Westcott audited the scorecard and recap; however,
this went into in-depth review. May have
to send this one out to an outside agency for another audit and review. Just can’t figure out how Team Kientz won.
On May 29th we are scheduled
for the position round as long as no rain out on May 22nd. Acting Team Captain Mr. Westcott on Team Kientz
pulled the Divisions for front and back.
Front 9 first off is C Division followed by A Division. Back 9 first off is B Division followed by D
Division. Informal and doesn’t
matter protest were voiced on division selections. Mr. Westcott must have had something up his
sleeve since C Division now will be off the front nine for 3 weeks straight
(his team is in this division) and B Division is off
the back nine for 3 weeks straight.
League Secretary is doing a rain dance hoping he doesn’t have to play
the back nine 3 weeks in a row.
Coming soon to the Newsletter will be SANDBEGGER
OF THE WEAK (5 +/- strokes over or under average) and pick the winners
of the position round for a dozen experienced golf balls.
