IRS Wednesday Golf League Newsletter

Week 4 – May 20, 2020

Finally we got to play.  1st 3 weeks no play due to the Corona-virus.  It was good to socially distance see everyone.   Thanks go to all who followed the social distancing so we can continue to play.  Next play week is June 3 which will be a make-up for the April 29 play.

Thanks go to the course for working with us so we could get the league started.  Word from the course is they are hoping that in a short period of time they might be allowed 2 people per cart.  This should make it easier on scheduling weekly.

Sad news last month was Jimmy Smith lost his son Brian to a car accident.  Brian was Farlon Smith’s nephew.  Our condolences are with Jimmy and his family.

This past week we had 57 golfers.  Team Freeman dropped out this year.  Teams playing against Team 12 will play and at the end of play pull a number out of the hat to determine who their opponent is.  This past week Team Kientz played the vacant team and pulled out Team 16 number.  June 3rd Team Breen versus the vacant team (see the secretary after play to pull team number).
