Week 2 and what a difference a week can make in the weather.  I did get equal complaints/compliments on not calling off week 1.  Sorry for the cold day, hope this past week was warm enough.  Looks like we go from Winter to Summer with no Spring.  Overall the rounds were much better this week, so I guess the weather has a lot to do with the game.

Welcome to subs Dan Varndell and Lee Crouch.  Dan and Lee are both are available for subbing when needed.  Dan can be contacted at 513-474-0239.  Lee can be contact at (wk)513-263-3233 or (cell)513-290-5272.

Treasurer Chuck Reckers reports only one individual still has league fees due.

I did have some thoughts to ponder:  Years past I remember teams being ‘forked’ and some teams way to early in the season, with no hope of ever being un-forked.  So with that said, there is currently one team that is borderline on being ‘forked’ as early as next week (won’t say who yet).  We will have to see if they bring their ‘A’ game and save themselves from the fork.

Around the clubhouse chatter:  Lot of talk this past week about adding things to the newsletter.  If you have anything significant, unusual, or just you know what things that happened on the course, please put it on the recap sheet so I can include it in the newsletter.

It was a good thing the reservoir was low this week or Team Patmann (especially Rick Taylor and Patty Holtz) would have thrown me in it.  As you can see from the results they took a beating, which I kept telling them was revenge from several years ago when they knocked Team C. Halpin out of the playoffs.  Hope they forget about this, but just in case I will take swimming lessons.

Skins—Greenies—Long Putt

Most of the regulars and subs in the league know about Skins, Greenies, and Long Putt. For those that do not, each week there will be a sheet and a box on one of the tables in the clubhouse.  The sheet will have the names of all the regulars and blank lines at the bottom for subs to write in their names. $3.00 entry fee for Skins; $1.00 entry fee for Greenies and $1.00 entry fee for Long Putt.  Place a check mark for each category for which you are participating.
