A Thief Infiltrating the IRS Golf League???

Mike Breen has reported to the League Secretary that his tee shot on Hole #2 may have been picked up and pocketed by an unknown golfer practicing on the putting green near #18 green. Not to worry folks – relax! The League Secretary is on this and will conduct an official investigation into this matter. Clyde Barnes, a regular on Team Schumacher, will be the Lead Investigator in this matter. If the culprit is found there will not be a waste of time conducting a “Keystone Cops” trial – justice will be swift and harsh – if the culprit turns out to be a league player he/she will be suspended (by the League Secretary aka “The League Nachtze”) for the remainder of the season.

Why such a harsh punishment some may ask? – very simple – we need to let “would be thieves” know our intentions is serious!

A “Double Hat Trick” – Oh My!

The first day of the 2022 IRS Golf League Season and we have not one but two players (Kevin Bachmann & Tom Berns) posting three (3) birdies on their 9 hole rounds. Kevin got out of the gate fast by birdieing #s 1, 2 & 3 which tells me that, this year, Mr. Bachmann means business. Tom Berns, on the other hand, apparently prefers odd numbers over even numbers. He birdied #3 and then both of the par 3s #s 5 & 7. Impressive rounds gentlemen. Good chance I may be somewhere other than California golf course the day my team plays these guys!

Skins—Greenies—Long Putt

Most of the regulars and subs in the league know about Skins, Greenies, and Long Putt. For those that do not, each week there will be a sheet and a box on one of the tables in the clubhouse. The sheet will have the names of all the regulars and blank lines at the bottom for subs to write in their names. $3.00 entry fee for Skins; $1.00 entry fee for Greenies and $1.00 entry fee for Long Putt. Place a check mark for each category for which you are participating. If the Briefcase is not out notate on your scorecard your intent to play and pay when you complete your match. First teams out please take the markers, last teams in please bring markers in.
