2019 Season Schedule:

The 2019 schedule was presented by Charles Halpin.  League play begins April 24th.

End-of-Year Outing (September 6th – already reserved at AJ Jolly)

Brian Anderson apologized for the course confusion on the tee boxes from last year.  AJ Jolly course will have separate tee boxes for us this year - White, Men Forward, and Women Forward.

2018 Minutes and Financial Statements:

Charlie Halpin gave a quick run down on the 2018 minutes.

Chuck Reckers presented a budget for the 2019 season and a discussion followed on the dues for regulars. There was a discussion on Outing cost to either keep as one fee for regulars & subs or returning to add $10 to dues for Outing cost.  It was motioned, seconded, and unanimously voted to keep it the same as 2018 and not add extra to the dues for regulars.

Chuck proposed that the funds are sufficient to keep the dues this year at $30.  It was motioned, seconded and unanimously voted to keep the dues at $30.

Dues/Green Fees for Regulars:

Green fees remain the same as last year at $17.  The semi-finals and scramble week remain a paid week (total of 19 weeks).  Since the Scramble was rained out last year there are credits for the Scramble teams.  Cost per player (except Team Bachmann & Team Halpin) will be $336 for the entire year (if not paying for the entire year then Chuck needs 1st week payment of $200 and 2nd payment by June 26th of $136).

Cost per player for Team Bachmann and Team Halpin will be $353 for the entire year (if not paying for the entire year then Chuck needs 1st week payment of $200 and 2nd payment by June 26th of $153).

PGA Rule Changes:

Charlie Halpin presented the different PGA rule changes.  Our rules already cover or are more lax than the PGA rules changes.

Only change to the rule is to League Rule Article XXV – Flag stick in the hole while putting.  It was motioned, seconded, and unanimously voted to remove the paragraph about hitting the flagstick while putting.  There will no longer be a penalty for putting with the flagstick in the hole.

There was a discussion on sand traps (bunkers) and it was decided by vote to keep League Rule Article XX unchanged.

Automated Match Recap Sheet:

Mike Breen presented an automated recap sheet which can automatically calculate the scores and totals.  This automated spreadsheet takes any errors out of manual calculation.  He is willing to bring his lap top to the course for those wishing to use it to complete their recap.  This was tested against several recaps from last year and did find errors in the manual calculations.

Non-Agenda Items:

Players moving to the forward tee boxes was discussed with several recommendations but no consensus on changing the rules.  Skin pot was discussed along with this.  It was recommendrd to keep League Rule Article VII unchanged.  It was seconded and unanimously voted to keep Article VII unchanged with no restriction on who can move to the forward tees.  Must be declared before the 1st week they play.

Skin pot was discussed, and it was decided by Charlie Halpin (on recommendation by Don Buescher) to run a separate skin pot for the white tees and forward tees.  Each player or team captain in the skins will be required to input their scores on the appropriate skin sheet for their skin score to count.  Greenies and Long putt remain as it was.  Players wishing to play must write their name in on the appropriate skin sheet and mark if they are playing skins, greenie, and/or long putt.  Eagle pot will be separate for white and forward tees.

Jim Bramlage gave a website address for those wishing to keep their non-league USGA handicap.  The free website is www.thegrint.com.

Meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.

Respectfully Submitted,

Charles Halpin
