Minutes of Meeting

March 15, 2017

Ron Michael – Filling in for Team Captain Jim Bramlage

Tim Feldman – Filling in for Team Captain Brian Anderson

                Ray Vaughn – Team Captain (replace Mike Donlin)

                Jake Jobe-Rivera – Filling in for Team Captain Frank Leirey

Meeting started off with discussion on what to do about vacant team #16.  Players that had committed dropped out.  It was decided to try and recruit players for team 16.  If team cannot be filled it was proposed, seconded, and unanimously passed that teams opposing vacant team 16 would draw a team to verse (same side) and play for match and medal points.  Another possibility if not filled would be to have 4 subs play each week until team is filled.

 

Number of Teams and Verification of the numbering of the Teams:

Charlie Halpin opened the meeting with the team numbering for this year.  Okay as listed.

                A Division is:  Team #1 Bramlage, Team #5 Schumacher, Team #9 Patmann, Team #13 Kiffmeyer

                B Division is:  Team #2 Kientz, Team #6 Flynn, Team #10 Buescher, Team #14 Pfeiffer

                C Division is:  Team #3 Anderson, Team #7 Vaughn, Team #11 Freeman, Team #15 Harms

                D Division is:  Team #4 Halpin, Team #8 Leirey, Team #12 Breen, Team #16 TBD

 

Team changes: 

Team Kientz added Mike Schwarberg as a regular & changed Erich Kientz to a restricted sub. 

Team Donlin changed captains to Ray Vaughn (now called Team Vaughn).

Team Leirey added Melody Oswalt & Boyd Marley (to replace MaryJo Leirey & Don Potter).

Team Patmann added Bill Zachritz & Ken Thoerner to (replace Bill and Toni Brewer)

Team Buescher added Tom Mullett (replace Greg Linfert).

Team Zachritz dropped and is waiting to be filled.

No other team roster changes.

 

2016 Minutes and Financial Statements:

2016 minutes were presented by Charles Halpin.

2016 Financial Statement was presented by Chuck Reckers: 

Balance sheet was reviewed and the Leagues current funds in account had a slight decrease from the previous year and are sufficient to cover 1st week. 

 

2017 Season Schedule:

The tentative 2017 schedule was presented by Charles Halpin.  Start date will be April 26th.

 

Dues for Regulars:

Chuck presented a budget for the 2017 season and a discussion followed on the dues for regulars. It was motioned, seconded, and unanimously voted to increase dues this year to $50.

Green fees remain the same as last year ($16.50) and the semi-finals and scramble week remains a paid week (total of 19 weeks).  Cost per player will be $363.50 for the entire year (if not paying for the entire year then Chuck needs 1st week payment of $215 and 2nd payment by June 28th of $148.50).   

 

End-of-Year Outing (September 8th – already reserved at AJ Jolly)

 

Skins/Greenies/Long Putt:

Ray Vaughn asked if players that are always getting in the Skins, Greenies, and/or Long Putt could pay for the whole year at once, which might help alleviate shortages in the games.  League Secretary agreed that this would be okay.  For those wishing to do this please inform League Secretary Charles Halpin that you are doing this.  Skins ($3), Greenies ($1), Long Putt $1) ($5 all) each week.  Entire year (18 weeks) Skins ($54), Greenies ($18), Long Putt $18)($90 all).

Year End Scramble – Frank Leirey/Tom Schumacher, Jim Bramlage, and John Freeman

Outing Food & Beverage – Brian Anderson & Team

Herm Lorenz Award - Tom Schumacher, Charles Halpin, Chuck Reckers, Jim Bramlage (last winner).

Jerry Joesting Award - Tom Schumacher, Charles Halpin, Chuck Reckers.
